Stop the Home Tax NOW

How Can contact mayor coss and the city council?

Councilor Rebecca Wurzburger introduced a real estate transfer tax proposal on Wednesday, May 14th, that will levy a 1% tax when residential property over $650,000 is transferred.  Proponents say that the new transfer tax will help fund the city's housing plan.

Please contact Mayor Coss and City Councilors and tell them to stop the transfer tax.  Homes are already heavily taxed and Santa Feans don't need a new "hidden" tax that shows up at closing to make it harder to buy or sell a home in Santa Fe.  Call or email Mayor Coss and City Councilors today with your personal message asking them to protect homeowners' equity and end the transfer tax.
